At HDQ Framing we specialise in designing frames for specific pieces.
Most of our commissions are for original artworks, ranging from oil and watercolour paintings to limited edition prints, posters and photographs.
We particularly welcome challenging projects where the best solution isn't necessarily obvious.

Some of our earliest commissions were bringing items in poor condition but of great sentimental value back to life. Far from detracting from a piece, cracks, and crumbling edges speak to the life it has had and often enhance its appeal.

We custom design and hand build every frame, working closely with clients at each stage.
Whether you have a clear idea of what you want or no idea at all, we will work with you in our studio, trying out different combinations of materials and framing techniques until you're happy.

We do NOT sell pre-made frames, mounts etc. although occasionally we may have some small, hand-made frames available.
